Contribute to your HSA

Ready to add funds to an HSA? Here's how to contribute by bank transfer, paycheck, or mail.

You might want to contribute tax-free funds to an HSA. Here's how!

Bank transfer

You can deposit funds directly through your Health Wallet. If you haven't linked a bank account yet, you'll need to link one first.

  • Select Deposit.

  • Select Bank Transfer.

  • Complete the form details and select Submit.

Fund availability timeline

Your transferred amount can take up to three business days to arrive in your account

Paycheck contributions

To set up paycheck contributions, share the pre-built form letter with your employer:

  1. Select Deposit.

  2. Select Paycheck Contributions.

  3. Select Preview Letter, review the letter information for accuracy, and download it to share directly with your employer.

Mailing deposits

If you prefer making a deposit using snail mail, check deposits can be mailed to:

Trustee Operations
25 Air Park Drive, Suite 100
London, KY 40744

Details to include with the check

Make sure to include your account number in the memo field, and specify that this is a contribution and the tax year it should be applied to.

Why it matters

Mailed checks can also be rollovers, so this helps make sure the deposit is classified correctly.

Specifying the tax year is especially important for contributions made between January 1 and the tax filing deadline, since without a specified year, the deposit may default to the year it's received rather than the year intended.

Fund availability timeline

Your funds can take up to 3 weeks from when the check is sent to when full funds are available in the account.
